NabDrop – Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 November 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Who we are
NabDrop, at nabdrop.com (the "Service"), is operated by NabDrop ("we", "us"). Contact: contact@nabdrop.com.
2. What the Service does
The Service provides information tools for domain-name research:
- daily lists of domain names expected to drop or recently dropped;
- a feed of expiring and expired-domain auctions run by third parties;
- tools that suggest names that appear to be unregistered;
- watchlists and email alerts.
We do not register, buy, sell, hold or back-order domain names for you. We are not a registrar, registry or auction house. Any registration or bid happens on a third-party site, under that site's terms.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 13 or over. If you're under 18, you need your parent's or guardian's permission to use NabDrop.
- You may use the Service as a consumer or for your business. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
- Give accurate details and keep your password secure. One person per account; don't share logins. Tell us at contact@nabdrop.com if your account is misused.
4. Paid plans
Paid plans aren't available during the beta, and we don't take any payments. The Service is free to use while it's in beta. Before we launch paid plans, we'll update these Terms with the prices, how renewal and cancellation work, and your refund rights, and we'll tell registered users by email.
5.–7. (Reserved for paid plans)
8. Data accuracy – no guarantees
- Drop, expiry, auction and availability data comes from registries, zone files, registrars, auction platforms and our own estimates. It can be late, incomplete or wrong.
- We do not guarantee that any name will drop, be available, be caught, or be won at auction, or the price at which it sells.
- "Available" or "unregistered" means it looked unregistered when checked. Always check with a registrar before relying on it.
- Availability results. Availability results come from automated checks of public registry data at the time shown and may be out of date. A name shown as available may be registered by someone else before you register it. We don't guarantee availability, and you're responsible for checking that a name doesn't infringe anyone's trademark or other rights before registering it. A short version of this notice is shown next to availability results in the Service.
- Valuations, scores or suggestions are opinions, not financial or legal advice.
9. Your responsibility: trademarks and lawful use
You alone decide which names to register or bid on. Before registering or using any name, you must check it does not infringe anyone's trademark or other rights. Names shown by the Service may match trademarks; showing a name is not a statement that you can lawfully register it. Registrants may face UDRP, Nominet DRS, URS, ccTLD dispute procedures or court action.
We may filter, flag or hide names that match known brands; this is a convenience, not clearance.
10. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Service to:
- register, buy or use names in bad faith to profit from someone else's trademark (cybersquatting), including typo variants (typosquatting);
- set up phishing, fraud, malware, or sites impersonating a person, brand or public body;
- send spam or unsolicited marketing, including cold-pitching names to trademark owners in a way that breaches law or dispute policies;
- scrape, crawl, bulk-download, resell, redistribute, publish or build a competing product from our lists, feeds or alerts (personal use within your plan's limits only);
- share accounts, circumvent limits, or access the Service by automated means other than any API we provide;
- break the law or third-party terms (including registry, registrar and auction-site terms);
- interfere with the Service's security or operation.
11. Third-party data sources and links
The Service draws on or links to third parties, which may include domain registries (including ICANN Centralized Zone Data Service files, used internally), registrars, and auction platforms such as GoDaddy Auctions, DropCatch and NameJet. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Listings link to their sites; bidding and registration are governed by their terms and fees. We are not responsible for their content, availability or conduct. Trademarks belong to their owners.
Affiliate links. Some "Register" buttons and links (currently to the registrars Porkbun and Namecheap) are or may become affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the registrar may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is set by the registrar. Commissions don't affect which names we show, how we rank or score them, or our warnings. Having an affiliate arrangement doesn't mean the registrar endorses us or that we endorse the registrar, and your purchase is governed by the registrar's own terms.
Names listed for sale. If we offer them, watchlist alerts that a name is for sale will draw only on marketplace data we receive through official APIs or partner feeds. Prices and availability are set by the seller and the marketplace, may change or be out of date, and we are not party to any sale.
12. Notice and takedown
If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights (e.g. a brand you own is listed in a way you object to), email contact@nabdrop.com with: your name and contact details, the content concerned (URL/name), the right claimed, and a statement that the notice is accurate. We will review and, where appropriate, remove or filter the item and may act against users who misuse it. We also act on reports of users misusing names found through the Service.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms (especially clause 10), if required by law, or to protect the Service or others. Where reasonable we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. If we end your subscription without your fault, we will refund any prepaid unused period. You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time (clause 6). We may discontinue the Service with 30 days' notice and a pro-rata refund.
14. Intellectual property
We (and our licensors) own the Service, software, design, and our compilations of data. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own domain research during your subscription. Domain names themselves are not owned by us. Feedback you send may be used freely.
15. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
If you are a consumer: we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or negligence. We are not responsible for business losses (you use the Service for personal research only as a consumer), or for losses that were not foreseeable.
If you are a business user: to the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, domain names not obtained, goodwill or data, or any indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months, or £100 if greater.
16. Indemnity (business users only)
If you use the Service for business, you will compensate us for reasonable losses and costs from third-party claims arising from your breach of clauses 9 or 10 (for example, a trademark claim over a name you registered). This clause does not apply to consumers.
17. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update these Terms for legal, security or product reasons. We will give at least 30 days' email notice of material changes. If you don't agree, you may cancel before they take effect and receive a pro-rata refund of any prepaid unused period.
18. Your legal rights and disputes
Please contact us first at contact@nabdrop.com so we can try to sort out any problem. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country (in the UK, the courts of England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, as applicable). EU consumers may also use their national out-of-court dispute bodies.
19. General
These Terms (with our Privacy Policy and any checkout terms) are the whole agreement. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. We may transfer the contract to a business that takes over the Service; we will tell you, and your rights won't be reduced. Delay in enforcing is not a waiver. No third party has rights under these Terms.
